From Kii-Katsuura went took the train to Osaka to see more family and experience modern Japan after our more traditional experience in the ryokan.
After having a chance to settle in at the hotel, our Aunt Katsu (short for Katsuyo, not to be confused with tonkatsu, which is delicious) and her family came to visit us.
We had a lot of fun catching up with Aunt Katsu's family, one of whom had come to visit us in California years ago as a teenager and now is a mother!
It's so great to know that I have such a fun and vibrant family in Japan!
