Well, it's been a year and a half, but that's no reason not to get back into blogging!
Rather than a big post summarizing half of 2016, 2017 and half of 2018, in which Hannah and I built a life in Burundi, traveled around East Africa, moved to DC, and then moved to Spain, I'll just write about today. Today is a lazy Sunday.
One of the blessings and curses of living in Barcelona is having so many visitors. It's been a pleasure to get to see so many friends, and having visitors also motivates us to explore this wonderful city. In the past two weeks, we've had visits from my college roommate Matt and our good friends from Burundi, Aziza and Minesh.
However, lots of visitors means that we treaure quiet weekends. This weekend has been one of those. Today, my goals were to:
Clean our kitchen after Hannah's surprise 34th birthday party
Clean our guest rooms
Hang out at the pool with Hannah
Plan for my sister Jennifer's visit to Spain
With a to-do list like that, you're sure to succeed.
I decided to take a few photos of our living room, which we lovingly decorated with pieces of our lives - art from Burundi, Japanese knick-knacks, and Hannah's indoor garden. We've spent the evening here working on internet errands and resting up after a fun but exhausting two weeks.
